What inventions does India desperately need to become a developed country in the next 10 years?
The following are urgently required:
- Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology : To become independent of Arab Oil and address environmental concerns.
- Thorium-based Nuclear Technology : India has vast reserves of Thorium. If we can tap into this resource and use it in Nuclear power plants then the other part of our Energy security will be solved.
- Research in Nanotechnology : Nanotechnology is fast coming up in a lot of fields from medicine to information technology and even hybrid materials. More research needs to be done in this area to untap its hidden potential.

- Economically Viable MAGLEV Train : To have the best possible Train will significantly boost India’s transportation network and make the economy robust.

- Hydroponics : In this, you do not have to put the plants in the soil; the plants absorb their nutrient directly from water provided to their roots. Plants grown like this grow larger and faster. Besides they can be grown in multilevel greenhouses and therefore free up more space from agriculture that can be used for industrial applications. It is independent of seasons and weather cycles.
